The Sims 4: Get To Work Expansion Pack introduced the concept of Active Careers, or careers players could participate in with their Sim. Typical careers in the Sims universe are Rabbit Holes, where players send the Sim to work in the morning and cannot control much about their daily responsibilities apart from how hard they work or when they choose to take a break and socialize. The base game comes with a few career options, and many of the DLC Expansion and Game Packs introduce others. Sims can go to work, decide how to perform in an average day, and get promoted over time. In The Sims 4, players can select from a variety of careers for their Sim. One of the new features of The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff Pack is a new career that works as an offshoot of the Freelancer career.
